The Columbia women's golf team is set to compete at the NCAA Women's Golf Ann Arbor Regional from May 11-13, marking their first appearance at an NCAA Regional since 2007. The Lions earned their spot by winning the Ivy League Championship and enter the tournament as the No. 10 seed among 12 teams, including top-ranked Southern California and No. 2 seed Duke. The competition will unfold over 54 holes at the University of Michigan Golf Course, with Columbia aiming to advance to the NCAA Championship later this month.
The Columbia softball team's season concluded in the Ivy League Tournament, where they faced a tough challenge against Princeton. After a hard-fought elimination game against Brown, which Columbia won 2-1 thanks to a strong performance from pitcher Mads Lawson, the Lions fell to the top-seeded Tigers 8-0 in their next outing. Lawson, who struck out 10 batters in the win over Brown, concluded the season with a notable 149 strikeouts, placing her second all-time for a single season in program history. Despite the loss, Columbia finished the season with a commendable record of 22-23, highlighted by their strong performance in the Ivy League Tournament.
In track and field, first-year thrower Mia Hoskins continued to impress, securing a runner-up finish in the women's hammer throw at the Army West Point Twilight meet with a mark of 54.57 meters. This performance adds to her successful outdoor campaign as the team prepares for the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships on May 16 in Princeton, New Jersey.
