The University of Rochester softball team concluded its regular season with a commanding doubleheader sweep of Ithaca College, winning 7-0 and 6-1 to clinch the Liberty League regular-season title. This victory not only secured the top seed for the upcoming Liberty League Championship but also marked a successful season finish with a record of 31-7 (13-1 in the league). In the first game, Riley Laygo's solo home run set the tone, while Molly Broccolo's pitching held Ithaca scoreless. The second game saw the Yellowjackets maintain their dominance, with strong performances across the lineup.
In track and field, both the men's and women's teams achieved notable results at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships held at St. Lawrence University. The women's team finished as runners-up, securing six event victories, including a school record set by Aimee Oszer in the shot put at 13.54 meters. Oszer was named the conference's Field Performer of the Meet. The men's team also placed second, highlighted by Ashton Tokarski's victory in the decathlon and a strong showing from Emmett Hansen, who finished second in the same event. Together, the men's team claimed three event wins, contributing to a competitive overall performance.
In lacrosse, the women's team faced a challenging semifinal match against the fifth-ranked William Smith College, ultimately falling 15-6. Despite a strong start to the postseason with their first-ever playoff win, the Yellowjackets struggled against the Herons, who quickly established a significant lead. Anna Rogers and Jenna Kessler each scored for Rochester, but the deficit proved insurmountable.
The baseball team concluded its season with a split doubleheader against Clarkson University, ending the year with a record of 14-21 overall and 7-13 in the Liberty League. The Yellowjackets lost the first game 8-4 but bounced back to secure a 1-0 victory in the second game, showcasing a strong pitching performance. This marks the end of the season for Rochester's baseball program as they look to rebuild for the next year.
