The MIT women's lacrosse team captured the NEWMAC Championship for the second consecutive year, defeating the U.S. Coast Guard Academy 12-5 on May 2. The Engineers, ranked No. 24 nationally, dominated the match, holding Coast Guard scoreless until early in the third quarter. Annica Lam and Nina Petulla were instrumental in the victory, with Lam scoring two goals and Petulla contributing one goal and a strong defensive effort. Pauline Vien was named the Tournament Most Outstanding Player for her performances throughout the championship. This victory marks MIT's third overall NEWMAC title and secures their fifth appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.
In men's lacrosse, the Engineers faced a tough challenge in the NEWMAC Championship, falling to the top-seeded Babson College 15-9 on May 2. Despite a strong effort that saw them come within one goal late in the second quarter, MIT could not overcome Babson's early lead. Bryce Metalios and Denley Kofoed were key contributors, scoring for the Engineers, while Ashton Axe received the Laurels of Academic Excellence Award for having the highest GPA among competitors in the championship.
On the track, the MIT women's team earned a runner-up finish at the New England Division 3 Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 3, with Elise Doyle and Hailey Surace leading the way by finishing first and second in the pole vault. The men's team placed ninth at the same event, with notable performances from Jaden McKee and Ethan Soderbloom in the pole vault, as well as Season Huckleberry, who finished second in the triple jump.
In rowing, the men's lightweight crew team secured victories against No. 9 Cornell, while the women's openweight crew claimed the New England Varsity Eight Championship, outpacing Williams and Middlebury. Both teams demonstrated strong performances, setting the stage for upcoming competitions as they continue their seasons. The baseball team concluded the regular season with a split against Springfield, setting up a rematch in the NEWMAC Championship tournament, where they will face the Pride again on May 10, following an 11-3 win and a narrow 14-13 loss in the doubleheader.
