Colgate University’s softball team is poised for its first postseason appearance in four years, having secured the second seed in the upcoming Patriot League tournament. The Raiders will face third-seeded Army on May 7 at Boston University, marking their best postseason entry since winning the regular-season championship in 2011. This successful season has been underscored by standout performances from Lily Haluska and Marina Taveras. Haluska, a sophomore catcher, has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team while also earning First Team All-League honors. She has had a record-breaking season, surpassing the program's single-season mark with 53 RBIs and maintaining a .331 batting average. Taveras, a first-year infielder, has been recognized as the Patriot League Rookie of the Year after an impressive debut season, setting new program records in home runs (14), runs scored (47), and RBIs (44). Additionally, Kayla Martin was named both the Patriot League Player and Rookie of the Week following a dominant series against Bucknell, where she batted .625 and contributed significantly to the Raiders' offense.
