The Army West Point men's lacrosse team concluded its season with a 10-6 loss to No. 8 Penn State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on May 9. The Black Knights, ranked 12th in the nation, finished the season with a 13-4 record, tying the program record for most wins in a single season. Senior goalkeeper Sean Byrne made 20 saves, matching his career high, while Brayden Fountain led the offense with two goals. Earlier in the week, four Army players were honored as Inside Lacrosse All-Americans: Byrne and Evan Plunkett on the First Team, John Sullivan on the Third Team, and Keagan Treacy with Honorable Mention recognition.
In baseball, Army faced a setback in the Patriot League Semifinals, dropping the first game of the best-of-three series to Holy Cross, 5-3, on May 9. The Black Knights rallied to tie the game at 3-3 in the seventh inning but could not hold on as Holy Cross regained the lead. Josiah Overbeek hit a solo home run to open the scoring for Army, marking his 16th of the season. The Black Knights must win both remaining games to advance to the championship series.
Softball wrapped up its season with a 4-2 loss to Colgate in the Patriot League Tournament on May 8, after previously defeating the Raiders 6-3 in their tournament opener. Ashton White led the team with four hits in the final game, while Samantha Sims contributed two hits and a run. The Black Knights finished the season with a record of 33-25.
The Army track and field program concluded its regular season with the West Point Twilight meet on May 7, where they recorded 12 event wins. Freshman Van Carter won the men's pole vault, while Elce Walsh topped the women's pole vault event. The team is now preparing for the upcoming Patriot League Championships, scheduled for next week in Annapolis.
