The Colby College women's lacrosse team has secured an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III tournament, marking a significant achievement for the program. This comes on the heels of a successful season that included nine wins and a 24th consecutive appearance in the NESCAC Championship Tournament. Key defensive players Gisele Uva and Izzy Wang received All-NESCAC honors, with Uva earning First Team recognition and Wang making the Second Team. Uva's standout performance included leading the team in caused turnovers and ground balls, while Wang capped her career with her second All-Conference selection.
In tennis, both the men's and women's teams celebrated individual accolades as Jade Finestone and Jason Daly, along with Marco Ziets-Segura, received All-NESCAC honors. Finestone, a junior, was named to the Second Team for the second consecutive year after a strong season at the No. 1 singles position, contributing to the team's seven wins. Daly and Ziets-Segura also earned Second Team recognition, with Daly being acknowledged for both singles and doubles play. Their consistent performances throughout the season have solidified their status among the conference's elite.
Colby's rowing teams performed admirably at the New England Rowing Championships, with both the men's and women's crews facing challenging conditions. The women's first, second, and third varsity eights all advanced to their respective petite finals, finishing fourth in each. The men's first and second varsity eights also secured spots in the grand finals, showcasing the depth and competitiveness of the program.
Finally, the men's cross country team had a strong showing at the D3 New England Championships, with the women's team finishing fourth overall and the men's team placing 11th. The women's squad was highlighted by relay victories and individual records, while Lexington Lehnert led the men with a title in the pole vault, contributing to a successful weekend for Colby athletics.
