The Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team, currently ranked No. 13, is gearing up for the NCAA Regional after three players received All-Association honors from the University Athletic Association (UAA). Senior Colin Fox and first-year Jeremy Sieben earned First Team accolades in doubles, while sophomore Avi Mahajan was named to the Second Team for his performance in singles. Fox and Sieben have been a formidable duo at No. 1 doubles, compiling a 14-6 record this season, and Mahajan has posted an impressive 12-2 record primarily at No. 4 and No. 5 singles. The Bears will compete in the Denison Regional this weekend after receiving a first-round bye.
On the women's side, the No. 3 Bears also secured significant recognition with seven players named to the All-UAA teams. Senior Eliana Hanna and junior Eleanor Archer led the way with First Team selections in singles, while Archer and her doubles partner, sophomore Caitlin Bui, also earned First Team honors. Hanna's third consecutive All-UAA selection marks a milestone, as she currently holds an 11-5 record at No. 1 singles and is ranked No. 5 nationally. Archer, ranked No. 17, boasts an 11-4 record at No. 2 singles and is part of the top-ranked doubles team nationally with Bui, who have a combined record of 24-5. The women's team will host an NCAA Tournament Regional at the Tao Tennis Center this weekend.
In baseball, the No. 18 Bears had six players recognized in the UAA All-Association Teams, with first-year Chance Cromer earning the title of UAA Rookie of the Year. Cromer is the first Bear to receive this honor since 2019, finishing the regular season with a .328 batting average and 52 runs scored. Graduate Chase Brickley, senior Shane Pellegrino, senior Isaac Zhang, and sophomore Ryan Soong were all named to the First Team, while junior Anthony Equale received Second Team recognition. The Bears await their NCAA Tournament selection, which will determine their postseason path.
