The Emory University men's tennis team has secured a notable presence in the All-University Athletic Association (UAA) teams, with four players recognized following a third-place finish at the UAA Championships. Freshman Daniel Kim stands out as the UAA Rookie of the Year, marking a significant achievement as he becomes the seventh player in program history to earn this honor. Kim also received Second Team recognition in singles, where he boasts a 19-8 overall record. Senior Dean Kamenev and sophomore Ruilin Feng were named to the First Team in singles, while Feng and sophomore Ajay Kartik earned First Team honors in doubles. The Eagles, currently ranked 10th nationally, are set to begin their NCAA tournament run on May 9, facing the winner of a match between Stevens and Penn State-Harrisburg.
The women's tennis team follows suit, with four players earning All-UAA honors after their third-place finish at the UAA Championships. Seniors Izzy Antanavicius and Emily Kantrovitz received First Team accolades, while junior Yanire Marte made the Second Team and freshman Holyn Karp earned Honorable Mention. Antanavicius, who leads the team with a 22-5 singles record, played a pivotal role in the UAA Championships, clinching two key matches. The No. 6 ranked Eagles will host the opening rounds of the NCAA Championships at the Woodruff P.E. Center from May 8-10, where they will face the winner of North Carolina Wesleyan and Asbury after receiving a first-round bye.
In baseball, five Emory players have been recognized with All-UAA honors, highlighting the team's strong performance this season. Junior Jake Lawson and senior Josh Zuckerman earned First Team selections, with Lawson achieving a .370 batting average and leading the team in several offensive categories. Zuckerman also had a standout season on the mound. The Eagles are looking to build on this recognition as they conclude their season.
The No. 6 ranked Emory men's golf team has also made headlines, securing an at-large bid for the NCAA Championships, marking their 10th consecutive appearance. Following a successful season, including a UAA championship, the team will compete among 43 teams at the national level from May 12-15 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. This marks a significant opportunity for the Eagles to improve upon their previous third-place finishes at the NCAA Championships.
