The Brown men's hockey team faced a challenging end to its season, falling 9-0 to No. 20 Union in the opening round of the ECAC playoffs on March 7. Despite a valiant effort from goalkeeper Tyler Shea, who made 50 saves, the Bears struggled against Union's aggressive offense, which outshot Brown 59-22. This defeat marks a disappointing conclusion to a season that saw the Bears finish with a record of 5-24-2.
In women's basketball, the Bears closed their regular season with a 69-56 loss to Penn on March 7. Brown finished the season with a 16-10 overall record and an 8-6 mark in Ivy League play. Alyssa Moreland led the Bears with 12 points and 12 rebounds, achieving her 11th double-double of the season. The team is set to compete in Ivy Madness next week, having secured its second tournament berth since the event's inception in 2017.
The men's basketball team also concluded its season with a loss, falling 82-61 to Penn on March 6. Landon Lewis wrapped up his career with a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. The Bears finished the season with a record of 9-18, including a 3-11 mark in Ivy play.
In swimming and diving, the Bears are sending five divers to the NCAA Zone A Championship on March 9-10. For the men's team, Matteo Vasiliadis and James Skipper will compete, while the women's team will be represented by Isabella George, Elena Yeh, and Chloe Wong. This championship presents an opportunity for the divers to qualify for the NCAA Championship later this season.
