The Navy wrestling team achieved a notable second-place finish at the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championship held at Bender Arena in Washington, D.C., on March 8. The Midshipmen accumulated 135.5 points, trailing only Lehigh, which scored 163.5 points and crowned five individual champions. Navy's performance was characterized by consistency, as all ten wrestlers placed in their respective weight classes, with Andrew Binni earning a runner-up finish in the 125-pound category during his first EIWA Championship appearance. Alongside Binni, Caedyn Ricciardi (141) also advanced to the finals, contributing to Navy's total of four automatic qualifiers for the NCAA Championship, scheduled for March 19-21 in Cleveland, Ohio. Head coach Cary Kolat praised the team's effort, noting their pursuit of bonus points in every match was crucial for their overall success.
In diving, Navy is set to host the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship at Lejeune Hall from March 9 to March 11. This event will determine which divers from the region qualify for the NCAA Championship meets. The competition will feature seven Navy divers among a total of 176 qualifiers. The schedule includes various events each day, starting with the women's one meter and men's three meter dives on Monday, followed by the women's three meter and men's one meter on Tuesday, and concluding with platform diving on Wednesday. Access for fans is limited, requiring shuttle transportation from the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to the event venue.
