The Washington and Lee men's basketball team wrapped up its regular season with a decisive home victory followed by a challenging road loss. On February 19, the Generals hosted Bridgewater in their final home game, where they delivered a strong performance, winning 79-56. Sophomore Connor Amorosi contributed significantly, scoring 21 points and showcasing his offensive skills. This victory capped off a solid home campaign for the Generals, who have relied on their depth and teamwork throughout the season.
However, the momentum did not carry into their final regular season game on February 21, as Washington and Lee faced Hampden-Sydney on the road. The Generals struggled offensively, managing only 57 points while allowing 69 to their opponents. Amorosi again led the team in scoring, netting 21 points, but the team was unable to find its rhythm against a tough Hampden-Sydney defense. With the regular season now complete, the Generals will look ahead to the upcoming conference tournament, where they hope to build on their strengths and make a deep run.
