Army West Point's women's swimming and diving team is set to make history at the 2026 NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships, marking the first time since joining the Patriot League in 1990 that the program will be represented at this national meet. Seniors Molly Webber and Catriona Gilmore, along with sophomore Angie McKane, earned their spots following impressive performances at the 2026 Patriot League Championships last month, where they set a program, meet, and league record in the women's 200 medley relay.
In wrestling, four Black Knights are preparing for the NCAA Championships this week in Cleveland, Ohio. Ethan Berginc, a four-time qualifier, is joined by three-time qualifier Gunner Filipowicz, and fellow competitors Braden Basile and Brady Colbert, each making their second NCAA appearance. The championships will take place from Thursday to Saturday, with fans able to follow the action on ESPN+ and TrackWrestling.
In men's hockey, sophomore goaltender JJ Cataldo has been named the 2026 Atlantic Hockey Association Goaltender of the Year. Cataldo's standout season included a 2.48 goals against average and a .921 save percentage, ranking him seventh nationally in saves made. His recognition marks only the second time an Army goaltender has received this honor, the first being Josh Kassel in 2008.
Lastly, the Army men's golf team concluded its participation in the 46th Annual Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia, finishing in 15th place. Junior Drew Jeffords was the highest individual finisher for Army, placing 56th overall. Notably, sophomore Tyson Sparks recorded an even par round of 72 in the final round, while Jeffords shot a two-under par 70 in the second round. The team will look to improve in its upcoming competitions.
