The Wesleyan University men's basketball team has concluded its season with significant accolades, as Zach Wolinski and Sam Pohlman have both been named to the Division III National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District and D3hoops.com All-Region teams. Wolinski, a sophomore shooting guard, earned Second Team All-District 1 and All-Region 1 honors, while Pohlman, a junior, received Second Team All-District and Third Team All-Region recognition. Their achievements come in their first year as full-time starters, reflecting their substantial contributions to the team. Additionally, head coach Joe Reilly has been named District 1 Coach of the Year for the second straight season, marking his third such honor in five years.
In track and field, the Wesleyan women's team had a remarkable indoor season, securing 12 total awards from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and the New England Cross Country and Track & Field Association. Juliette Sullivan led the Cardinals with recognition in three events, including All-Region and All-New England honors in both the 200m and 400m. Sullivan also qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship in the 200m, clocking in at 25.07 seconds. The 4x400m relay team, featuring Sullivan, Sydni Chandler, Alyssa Fix, and another teammate, also garnered accolades, showcasing the depth of talent within the squad.
Wesleyan's winter season has also been marked by academic achievements, with 138 student-athletes named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team. The men's indoor track & field program led the way with 24 honorees, highlighting the institution's commitment to both athletic and academic excellence.
