He also made history by becoming the first A-finalist for Princeton since 2012, finishing eighth in the 200-yard freestyle final. Patrick Dinu set a new program record in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing 11th nationally, while the 400 freestyle relay team of Schott, Dinu, Logan Noguchi, and Jake Tarara placed ninth in prelims, setting both a program and Ivy League record. The team’s performance garnered the most points for Princeton at the NCAA Championships since 1990.
In rowing, the No. 6 men’s lightweight team retained both the Campbell Cup and the Diamond Challenge Trophy on March 28, defeating No. 10 Columbia and No. 4 Dartmouth at the National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational. Head Coach Matt Smith praised the team's collective effort, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in their success. The victory sets a positive tone as the team prepares for upcoming competitions, including the Eastern Sprints.
Meanwhile, the women’s golf team finished 13th at the Clemson Invitational, competing against a challenging field of 16 teams ranked in the Top 75. After a strong start with a first-round score of 285 (-3), the Tigers struggled in the subsequent rounds, ultimately finishing with a team score of 892 (+28).
