In softball, junior Isabella Albro has been named the Maine Softball Pitcher of the Week after her impressive performances in the circle. Albro recorded a pair of complete game victories, leading Bates to wins against Babson and Amherst. In her first outing, she allowed just one run on six hits in a 2-1 win over Babson, followed by another strong showing against Amherst, where she surrendered two earned runs in a 5-2 victory. Albro's stellar week included a relief appearance against No. 11 Tufts, bringing her season record to 2-0 with a 1.24 ERA. The Bobcats, now 8-7, will seek to build on this momentum as they face Brandeis in a doubleheader on Thursday.
