Bowdoin College's track and field teams delivered a remarkable performance at the Emory Dooley Elite Meet, highlighted by record-breaking achievements from Kane Demers and Kennedy Kirkland. Demers won the long jump with a leap of 7.09 meters, marking the 14th best jump in Division III this season. He also secured third place in the 200 meters with a time of 22.02 seconds. Kirkland, meanwhile, claimed victory in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.73 meters, which ranks fifth nationally this spring. Additionally, Charlie Aucoin set a new school record in the men's discus with a throw of 50.99 meters, surpassing a mark that had stood since 1995. In men's golf, the Polar Bears achieved a school-record two-day total of 573 at the Bantams-Hawks Spring Invitational, securing a second-place finish overall. In a notable coaching update, Patrick Bugler has been appointed as the new assistant coach for the men's basketball program, taking over from Cal Connelly.
