CLEVELAND – Senior Cesar Alvan became the seventh All-American in program history with a thrilling 4-2 win in the quarterfinals of the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships on Friday at Rocket Arena. Friday also saw the Lions set a new program record for points scored in the team competition, with 20.5 through two days.

CLEVELAND – Twelfth-seeded Cesar Alvan made a splash with a thrilling win by fall in overtime over No. 5 LaDarion Lockett of Oklahoma State in the Championship Second Round. Alvan went 2-0 on the day. He was one of four Columbia wrestlers to advance to the second day of the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships.
