NEW LONDON, Conn.— Graduate student Skyler Mott (Mills Neck, N.Y.) and first-year Cameron Mehallo (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) captured individual championships to lead Babson College to a fourth-place finish at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's track & field championships on Saturday at the Coast Guard Academy's Nitchman Track.
Women’s Lacrosse Holds Off Smith in NEWMAC Tournament Quarterfinal, 14-7
BABSON PARK, Mass.— Sophomore Courtney Laden (Wilmette, Ill.) scored a career-high six goals and fourth-seeded Babson College outscored fifth-seeded Smith College 3-0 in the final 10 minutes to produce a 14-7 victory in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's lacrosse tournament quarterfinal game Saturday afternoon at MacDowell Field.

SERIES HISTORY • Babson is 29-13 all-time against Smith in a series that dates back to 1987. • The Beavers have won 23 consecutive games against the Bears since 2001. • The Green and White has won 13 straight contests versus Smith at MacDowell Field since suffering a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal loss back in 2001.
Women's Lacrosse Eases Past Wheaton in Regular Season Finale, 13-9
NORTON, Mass.—Sophomore Courtney Laden (Wilmette, Ill.) provided four first-half goals and senior Lilly Bedard (Jupiter, Fla.) and first-year Grace Rooney (Milton, Mass.) added three goals apiece to help visiting Babson College defeat Wheaton College, 13-9, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's lacrosse action on Wednesday night at Nordin Field.
