The Amherst College men's basketball team has secured an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III tournament, marking the program's first appearance in the postseason since 2019. This achievement comes under the leadership of Head Coach Marlon Sears, who has guided the Mammoths to a successful season. The team will be looking to make a deep run as they prepare for their upcoming matchup in the tournament.
In men's hockey, senior forward Josh Burke has been named to the All-NESCAC First Team for the second consecutive year. Burke's standout season included 12 goals and 14 assists, placing him fifth in the conference for total points. His performance on the power play was particularly noteworthy, contributing five goals, which also ranked him among the top in the NESCAC. The Mammoths concluded their season with a record of 12-11-2 and reached the NESCAC Quarterfinals for the third straight year.
The men's squash team ended their season with a 6-3 loss to Navy in the Hoehn Cup Play, finishing fourth in the 2nd Division bracket of the CSA National Team Championships. Despite the defeat, Amherst showcased strong performances, particularly from Joseph Toth and Zi Tao Yu, who each secured victories in their respective matches. Toth won 3-1 at the #3 position, while Yu also triumphed 3-1 at #5. Grady Herbert delivered a swift 3-0 victory at #8, contributing to the team's overall effort.
In swimming and diving, five Mammoths have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Championships in Indianapolis, scheduled for March 18-21. Junior Eric Albers will compete in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, while sophomore John Goepfrich has qualified for the 200 freestyle. Senior Fynlan Nadel will also swim in the 100 breast, alongside first-years Benjamin Robins and Owen Vale, who will compete in the 1650 freestyle and the 200 and 400 individual medleys, respectively.
