Army West Point wrestling had a successful outing at the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Championships held at American University, highlighted by Ethan Berginc's historic achievement. Berginc became the program's fifth four-time NCAA Championships qualifier after securing his spot with a semifinal victory over Drexel's Kyle Waterman on March 6. He advanced to the finals of the 133-pound weight class, where he ultimately finished as the runner-up, ensuring his place at the national tournament. In addition to Berginc, Gunner Filipowicz and Brady Colbert also clinched their spots for the NCAA Championships, marking Filipowicz's third trip and Colbert's second consecutive appearance. Filipowicz secured his qualification by defeating Navy's Dylan Elmore in the consolation bracket after a tough semifinal loss, while Colbert's consistent performance throughout the tournament solidified his position. Overall, nine Black Knights placed on the podium, showcasing the depth of talent within the team. The NCAA Championships are set to take place later this month, where Army will look to build on its strong showing at the EIWA Championships and make a mark on the national stage.
