Brown football has announced the hiring of Andrew DiRienzo as the new receivers coach. DiRienzo joins the Bears after three seasons at Fordham, where he served as the Tight Ends and Special Teams Coordinator. His coaching tenure at Fordham included leading a special teams unit that ranked first in the Patriot League in net punting and second in punt return defense. DiRienzo's experience also includes five seasons at Rutgers, where he transitioned from player development to a graduate assistant role. His expertise is expected to bolster Brown's offensive strategy as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
In basketball, four members of the Brown women's team have been recognized for their academic achievements, earning spots on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Grace Arnolie, Beth Nelson, and Olivia Young received this honor for the second consecutive year, while Alyssa Moreland earned her first selection. Arnolie, a standout player, was named First Team All-Ivy, marking her fourth consecutive season receiving Ivy recognition, and she finished as the second-highest scorer in the conference. Meanwhile, senior Landon Lewis of the men's basketball team also earned Academic All-District honors for the second year in a row. Lewis, who was named First Team All-Ivy, led the Ivy League in scoring during conference play and was recognized for his outstanding academic performance.
In swimming, sophomore Marton Nagy is set to compete at the 2026 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championship in Atlanta. Nagy qualified for the national meet after winning the 400-yard individual medley at the Ivy League Championships with a program-record time of 3:41.89. He will also participate in the 200-yard individual medley later in the week. His performances at the Ivy Championships earned him First Team All-Ivy honors and highlighted his status as one of the top competitors in Division I swimming this season.
