Bowdoin College women's basketball has concluded a remarkable season, highlighted by the recognition of assistant coach Kate McCann, who has been named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Thirty Under 30 team for the 2025-26 season. In her first year with the Polar Bears, McCann contributed to a stellar 25-3 overall record and a perfect 10-0 mark in NESCAC play, leading the team to the NESCAC finals and the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship. Additionally, junior Abbie Quinn and sophomore Grace Kinum have garnered significant postseason honors, both earning Honorable Mention All-American status from the WBCA. Quinn, who averaged a league-best 16.9 points per game, and Kinum, who excelled across multiple statistical categories, were also named First Team All-NESCAC and recognized by D3hoops.com and the New England Women's Basketball Association.
The Bowdoin swimming and diving teams returned from the 2026 NCAA National Championship with multiple All-American honors. Raphael Grand'Pierre stood out by breaking two school records and contributing to the 400 freestyle relay, which earned All-American status. The men's team finished 21st overall, while the women's team placed 36th. Individual performances included Harper Stevenson in the 500 freestyle and Jack Tran's tie for 25th in the 50 freestyle qualifier, showcasing the depth and talent of the Polar Bears at the national level.
Bowdoin's outdoor track and field teams kicked off their spring season at Wesleyan's Swanson Invitational, achieving notable results. The men's team dominated the 5000 meters with a 1-2-3 finish led by Ulysses O'Rourke, while Joseph Phillips excelled in the hurdles, winning both the 110 and 400 events. The women's team also made an impact, with Catherine Uwakwe claiming first in the 400 meters. The Polar Bears will look to build on this strong start as they continue their outdoor season.
