In track and field, the women's team opened its season with notable performances at the WashU meet on March 29. Freshman Vivian Kelly highlighted the event by winning the 1500m Run with a time of 4:42.43, a mark that ranks as the ninth-best time by a freshman in UChicago history. Sylvia Snider joined her on the podium with a second-place finish in the same event. Cyd Kennard also made her mark, securing third place in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:45.31.
