Goettsch Wins 200m as Cardinals Claim 3000m at J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic
In a dominate performance on home turf to open the outdoor portion of the season, the Wesleyan women's track and field team saw Amelia Goettsch '29 take first place in the 200m while laying claim to nine of the Top 10 finishes in the 3000m on Saturday at Andersen Track.
Cardinals Field 3000m Top 10, Playing Host to J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic
The Wesleyan men's track and field team played host to an exciting J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic, opening the outdoor portion of the season with a dominate performance in the 3000m as they swept the Top 10 finishes along with Liam Calhoun's '26 first-place ticket in the 1500m at the Andersen Track.
Wesleyan Mourns the Passing of Jeff Galloway '67
Jeff Galloway '67, Olympian and Pioneer of the Run/Walk method, passed away in late February at the age of 80.
NESCAC Winter All-Academic and All-Sportsmanship Teams Announced
The Wesleyan University winter season varsity teams put a total of 138 student-athletes on the 2025-26 NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team. Williams ranks first in the conference with 190 student-athletes on the All-Academic list, Middlebury is second with 176. Wesleyan has the eighth-most All-Academic honorees in the conference.
Wolinski and Pohlman Named All-District and All-Region; Joe Reilly Named District 1 Coach of the Year
The Wesleyan men's basketball team was well represented on the Division III National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District release as well as the D3hoops.com All-Region announcement, both made early this week by the respective outlet. Zach Wolinski '28 earned Second Team All-District 1 and All-Region 1 honors. Sam Pohlman '26 is a Second Team All-District and Third Team All-Region pick. Head coach Joe Reilly is the District 1 Coach of the Year for the second straight season and third time in five years.
Women’s Track & Field Cleans Up with All-Region and All-New England Awards
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and the New England Cross Country and Track & Field Association have announced the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field honorees. The Wesleyan women's track & field team finished the indoor portion of the season with 12 total awards.
Olivia Quinn Named Third Team All-Region
Olivia Quinn '26 of the Wesleyan women's basketball team was named Third Team All-Region 1 by D3hoops.com, as announced on Monday afternoon. This is Quinn's first career All-Region nod while she becomes the first Cardinal since Caleigh Ryan '22 in 2022 to earn All-Region honors.
