CLINTON, Conn – Following a back-and-forth six innings, senior Dylan Briggs broke the Amherst College softball team out of a 2-2 deadlock with a 1 RBI groundout, leading the Mammoths to a narrow 3-2 victory over Hamilton College in the second game of their Saturday doubleheader at Loop Road Athletic Complex.

AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College men's lacrosse team came out with the edge early and twice made it a one-goal game in the second half, but Bates used decisive runs at the end of the second quarter and again in the fourth to earn a 12-7 win in the NESCAC Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon at Pratt Field at Lehrman Stadium.
Fifth-Seeded Mammoths Fall to Bantams in NESCAC Quarters, 9-8
HARTFORD, CT. – A fast start wasn't enough as the fifth-seeded Amherst women's lacrosse team bowed out of the NESCAC tournament on Saturday, April 25. The Mammoths took the trip down I-91 for the second time in four days to face fourth-seeded Trinity, another nationally ranked squad that bested them four days ago to set up this matchup. The Bantams got the best of the Mammoths once again, as Amherst gave up three goals in the final 5 minutes to fall 9-8.
Mammoth Men Tied for 5th after Day 1 of NESCAC Championships
EAST HADDAM, CT -- The Amherst College men's golf team competed in Day 1 of the 2026 NESCAC Championship tournament. The Mammoths competed against nine other NESCAC teams at Fox Hopyard Golf Course, hosted by Trinity College. The Mammoths began play in the afternoon, and after the first day sit in T-5 at +27 over par.
Continentals edge Mammoths, 4-1
AMHERST, Mass. -- Hamilton College sophomore Mark Kovach threw a complete-game five-hitter Friday, outdueling Mammoths sophomore Nick Fassert, as the Continentals defeated the Amherst College baseball team 4-1 in front of 157 at Memorial Field.
Four Mammoths Tabbed CSA Scholar-Athletes
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Four student-athletes from the Amherst College women's squash team have been named Scholar-Athletes by the College Squash Association (CSA). Seniors Alexandra Brown (Victoria, British Columbia) and Lily Thomas (Somerset, England), and juniors Quincy Cline (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Suriaya Khan Suri (New York, N.Y.) each earned the honor this season.

#5 Mammoths' Rally Falls Just Short, Drop 10-7 Game to #17 Bantams
HARTFORD, CT. – A fourth quarter rally was not enough as No. 5 Amherst women's lacrosse team stumbled in the regular season finale against Trinity on Wednesday, April 22. Taking the short trip down to Hartford to take on the No. 17 Bantams, the Mammoths went down early and were unable to fight their way back late, ultimately falling short 10-7.
