Three Earn ITA Regional Recognition
Two members of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s tennis team and head coach Andrew Girard are recipients of regional awards from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Every year the ITA recognizes coaches and student-athletes for their excellence both on the court and in their communities throughout the season. Senior Anika Joshi and freshman Ika Kanumuri join Girard as honorees.

Four Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III Women's Tennis.
Modak Named UAA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week
Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Kotistha Modak was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance over the weekend in helping the eighth-ranked Tartans advance to the quarterfinals of the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship for the eighth time in school history and the first time since 2023.
