Senior co-captain Jarrett Pokrovsky made history during the series, recording his 51st career double to become the program's all-time leader. In the first game, Nick Spaventa and Ernie Echevarria each contributed three hits and two RBIs, while Gavin Degnan and Nick Guachione hit home runs to cap off the dominant performance. The Quakers will look to maintain their momentum as they prepare for the Ivy League Championship.
In women's lacrosse, the Quakers faced a tough challenge in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals, falling to #3 Princeton 15-10 on May 6. Despite an early lead, Penn could not withstand a six-goal run by the Tigers just before halftime. Catherine Berkery led the Quakers with four goals, while Eden Welch added a hat trick. Goalkeeper Orly Sedransk made eight saves, but the team's efforts fell short as they concluded their season with a 8-8 record.
The men's lacrosse team also had a notable week, with six players earning All-Ivy recognition. Sophomore defenseman Dante Vardaro and junior long-stick midfielder Matthew Till were named to the second team, while seniors Griffin Scane and juniors Ben Beacham and Davis Provost received honorable mentions. Vardaro led the team with 17 caused turnovers, showcasing his defensive prowess throughout the season.
In rowing, the men's heavyweight crew retained both the Madeira Cup and the Wray Trophy with a series of strong performances against Cornell on May 6. Penn's Varsity Eight won decisively, finishing six seconds ahead of the Big Red, while the other boats also secured victories, marking the third consecutive year the Quakers have swept these honors. Meanwhile, the women's rowing team competed against #7 Princeton and #11 UCF, with the Third Varsity Eight capturing a victory, demonstrating the team's competitive spirit as they prepare for the Ivy League Championship.
On the track, the Quakers wrapped up their regular season at the Larry Ellis Invitational on May 6, highlighted by freshman Simeon Adams breaking the school record in the 200m with a time of 20.80 seconds. The women's 4x400m relay team also excelled, finishing first with a time of 3:33.51, the third-fastest in program history. Both teams will next compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championships on May 16-17.
In men's tennis, the Quakers fell to #18 Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Championship, ending their season with an 18-10 record. Despite a strong doubles performance from Manfredi Graziani and Aaron Sandler, who finished the season with a perfect 20-0 record, the team could not secure enough singles victories to advance.
The women's softball team concluded its season with a narrow 5-4 loss to Brown on May 6, despite strong performances from Gigi Ganje and Jade Montgomery, who each recorded two hits. Delaney Smith made history by becoming the program's single-season RBI leader with 45, capping off a competitive season.
Finally, the squash program announced the hiring of Graeme Williams as an assistant coach, bringing a wealth of experience to the team ahead of the 2026-27 season. Williams previously coached at Princeton, helping lead the team to an Ivy League title.
