The Bucknell baseball team concluded its regular season by sharing the Patriot League title after a competitive series against Lehigh. Hadley Maxwell, who recorded his league-leading 10th save during the series, was also named to the All-Patriot League First Team along with teammate Michael Trommer. Lleyton Coupe, Billy Fluharty, and Brady Hoar received Second Team honors, while the coaching staff was recognized as the Coaching Staff of the Year, marking a significant achievement for head coach Scott Heather and his team.
In women's lacrosse, seniors Megan Krestinski and Jess Leon were named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team following Bucknell's semifinal appearance. Krestinski's standout performance included seven points across two tournament games, helping the Bison secure their second conference tournament win in program history with a 14-13 victory over Holy Cross before falling to No. 8 Navy in the semifinals. Krestinski's contributions earned her the title of Bison of the Week.
The Bucknell rowing team continued its dominance by winning the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships for the fifth consecutive year. The varsity 8 crew, led by senior bowman John Kirincich, secured a narrow victory over Marietta, finishing in 5:53.4. The team faced tough competition from nationally ranked programs, demonstrating their resilience and skill on the water.
In softball, two Bison were recognized for their academic achievements as Brooke Popella and Haley Speicher were named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team. Popella, a junior shortstop with a 3.81 GPA, had an impressive season with 17 doubles, while Speicher's contributions were equally valued. Additionally, pitcher/outfielder Sarah Zimmerman earned a spot on the Second Team All-Patriot League, showcasing her versatility and strong performance throughout the season.
On the track, Evelyn Bliss made headlines by tying the Patriot League record for Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors with her fourth award this season. Bliss, a U.S. National Champion, excelled at the Kehoe Twilight meet, where she shattered facility records with a throw of 55.93m. Meanwhile, rookie Alex Polenik was named the Men's Outdoor Rookie of the Week after a strong showing in the discus throw, marking a successful week for Bucknell track and field athletes.
Bucknell's student-athletes also achieved academic success, surpassing the NCAA's Academic Progress Rate standards, with 11 programs earning perfect scores. This accomplishment reflects the university's commitment to excellence both in athletics and academics.
