At the Georgia Tech Invitational, the Brown University women's track and field team set three school records, with junior Alyssa Jackson breaking the program benchmarks in both the 100m and 200m dashes. Jackson clocked 11.70 seconds in the 100m, surpassing the previous record by 0.05 seconds, and finished the 200m in 23.71 seconds, breaking the record set in 2022. Additionally, junior Elle Riley shattered a 33-year-old record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.80 seconds, finishing second overall among 35 competitors. The men's team also excelled, with four marks landing in the top 10 in program history. Brown athletes also competed at the UConn Northeast Challenge and the MIT Sean Collier Invitational.
In men's lacrosse, Brown faced a tough challenge against Penn, ultimately losing 12-11 in double overtime after rallying from an 11-7 deficit with just under seven minutes remaining in regulation. Ben Scandone led the Bears with three goals and one assist, while Connor Foley made 16 saves, including three crucial stops in the fourth quarter. The defeat brings Brown's record to 6-6 overall and 1-4 in Ivy League play.
The Brown women's lacrosse team also encountered a narrow loss, falling 11-9 to No. 24 Princeton. Riley Peterson was a standout performer, contributing four points, while Mackenzie Conway made 13 saves in goal. The Bears fought back after trailing early, but Princeton's late goals sealed the match. With this result, Brown's record stands at 7-6 overall and 3-3 in the Ivy League.
In rowing, the No. 8 Brown men's crew team secured a victory in the Atalanta Cup against No. 7 Dartmouth, finishing with a time of 5:17.13. The race was closely contested, but the Bears managed to pull ahead in the final stretch. This win was particularly meaningful as it coincided with Senior Day, honoring the contributions of the team's graduating class. The women's crew also competed at the Ivy Invitational, where the First Varsity 8 had a notable performance, finishing ahead of Virginia in one race but falling to Syracuse later in the day. The Second Varsity 8 remained undefeated throughout the weekend, showcasing the depth of Brown's rowing program.
