BABSON PARK, Mass.—First-year Thomas Ferdinando (Andover, Mass.) poured in a game-high 27 points and second-seeded Babson College opened the second half with a 25-6 run on the way to defeating fourth-seeded Wheaton College, 81-56, in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament final on Sunday afternoon inside Staake Gymnasium.

BABSON PARK, Mass.— Senior Nate Mueller (Rogers, Minn.) made 30 saves in goal and the line of senior Egan Schmitt (Schuylerville, N.Y.), junior Jimmy Fallon (Milton, Mass.) and sophomore Evan Brown (Little Silver, N.J.) combined for all four goals and nine points in all as 13th-ranked and second-seeded Babson College blanked third-seeded Plymouth State University, 4-0, in a Little East Conference men's ice hockey tournament semifinal on Saturday afternoon inside the Babson Skating Center.

Women's Basketball Hosts Clark in NEWMAC Semifinal on Friday
SERIES HISTORY • Babson is 36-22 all-time against Clark in a series that dates back to the 1976-77 campaign. • The Beavers have won 15 in a row and 25 of their last 26 games versus the Cougars going back to 2008, although all of games have been played in the regular season. • The Green and White has won 13 straight games against Staake Gymnasium against Clark since suffering a 65-53 loss back on January 27, 2007.

WHAT TO KNOW • Babson junior David Krol (Grafton, Wisc.) will compete in the NCAA Division III Region 3 North/Northeast Diving Championships on Friday and Saturday in New London, Conn. • Krol qualified for the Regionals for the third year in a row, the first Babson male diver to compete in NCAA post-season diving since Aaron Paradis '10 in 2010.

SERIES HISTORY • Babson is 40-12 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to the 1982-83 campaign. • The Beavers have dropped two straight games to the Bears after winning 11 in a row in the series from 2015-24. • The Green and White has won four of its last five games inside Staake Gymnasium versus Coast Guard although the loss was a 67-62 setback on January 29, 2025.
