Mammoths Suffer Sunday Losses Against Colby
AMHERST, Mass. – After exchanging dual five-run rallies in the third inning, the Amherst College softball team fell on the losing side of their first game against Colby College on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 13-6 decision at the Amherst Softball Field.
Mammoth Men in Lead After Day 1 of Tim Brown Invitational
AMHERST, Mass. -- The Amherst College men's golf team opened the Dr. Tim Brown Invitation at the Ballston Spa Country Club hosted by Skidmore College. The Mammoths began play with a 1:00 PM shotgun start. After the first day, the Mammoths sit in 1st place at +10 over par. Right behind the Mammoths is New York University in 2nd place at +11 over par, and Trinity College in 3rd place at +12 over par.
Mammoths sit in 2nd & 4th After Day 1 at Leaman Invitational
AMHERST, Mass. -- The Amherst College Women's Golf Team opened the Jack Leaman Invitational on their home turf at the The Orchards Golf Club on Saturday, April 11th. The Amherst A and B teams began their shotgun round at 1:30 PM. The Mammoth's A team finished the day in T-2 at +19 over par, with the B team trailing right behind in 4th place at +22 over par. Both Amherst teams trail behind New York University in first place at +14, and Williams College in T-2 at +19.
Late Rally Falls Short in Dropped Series Against Tufts
AMHERST, Mass. – A five-run Mammoth charge in the bottom of the seventh equalized the scoreboard and sent the contest into an eighth inning, but the rally was not enough as the Amherst College softball team eventually fell 8-5 to Tufts University in game one of their Saturday series at the Amherst Softball Field.
#5 Mammoths Wallop #19 Williams 13-9
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. – Four-point games from Mia Raven and Bridget Darcy paced the No. 5 Amherst women's lacrosse team on Saturday, April 11. After cruising to a win versus Conn. College in their last game, the Mammoths took the short trip to Williams to take on their bitter rivals in a battle of nationally ranked teams. After trailing 3-0 in the first quarter, the Mammoths took over, going on a 6-1 run the rest of the first half to down the No. 19 Ephs 13-9.
Senior Day Comeback Lifts Mammoths Past Rival Williams, 10-9
AMHERST, Mass. – On Senior Day, Amherst men's lacrosse delivered the perfect finish in a rivalry game, overcoming a third-quarter swing, erasing a two-goal deficit in the final 15 minutes, and surviving a last-second scare to defeat Williams, 10-9, Saturday afternoon at Pratt Field at Lehrman Stadium.

Three Named to DIII Hockey News All-East Teams
AMHERST, MA. – Goaltender Natalie Stott (Franklin, Mass.) and defender Gretchen Dann (Hanover, N.H.) of Amherst College women's ice hockey were awarded DIII Hockey News First Team: East honors, and forward Maeve Reynolds (Plymouth, Mass.) was named to the Third Team: East when selections were announced earlier this week.
14 Mammoths Recognized by NFF Hampshire Honor Society
IRVING, Texas -- The National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame announced the members of the 2026 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which includes college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better throughout their college careers. Fourteen student-athletes from the Amherst College football team were inducted in 2026.

AMHERST, MA. – A career day from Bridget Darcy led the No. 5 Amherst women's lacrosse team to a dominant victory on Wednesday, April 8. Junior Eric Albers (Columbus, Ohio), sophomore Jack Goepfrich (Edina, Minn.), junior Henry Liu (Peachtree City, Ga.), and senior Fynlan Nadel (Clive, Iowa) earning this year's honors.
