The University of Chicago football team has seen ten of its players named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, an honor recognizing college football players who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher and are in their final year. Among those recognized is Collin Argue, who concluded his senior season with 13 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns, despite suffering a season-ending injury. Michael Armstrong and Hunter Schultz also played pivotal roles on the offensive line, contributing to a successful 7-3 season for the Maroons.
In swimming and diving, the men's team celebrated four athletes earning selections to the CSC Academic All-District Team. John Butler, who has already made a significant impact with seven 1st-Team All-America awards and two National Championships, continues to excel academically as he pursues a double major in economics and cognitive science. Cooper Costello, another standout, swept three individual events at the National Championships, adding to the team's accolades. The women's swimming and diving team also saw four members recognized, including Sumiye Allen, who achieved 2nd-Team All-America status in the 3-meter diving competition, and Veronica Fong, who earned multiple All-America honors this season.
Meanwhile, the 20th-ranked University of Chicago women's lacrosse team faced a tough challenge against Colorado College, ultimately falling 15-14 in overtime. The Maroons started strong, building a 10-3 lead at one point, but the Tigers mounted a comeback to secure the victory. Kaylin Oey and Avery Song were among the early scorers, with Song completing a hat trick during the match. UChicago will look to regroup as they prepare for their next contest.
