No. 2 Wesleyan Sweeps MIT on Easter Sunday
In a rare double race weekend for the No. 2 Wesleyan men's crew team, the Cardinals swept a pair of close races against MIT on Sunday morning on the Charles River. Sunday's first place finish for both the Varsity 8 and 2nd Varsity 8 sees the Cardinals go 6-for-6 on the weekend as Wesleyan swept all four races on Saturday at WPI's Class of 2003 Cup.

On a picturesque Saturday afternoon from Citrin Field, the No. 10 Wesleyan men's lacrosse team never trailed in a commanding 14-6 win over No. 14 Middlebury. Wesleyan (8-2, 4-2 NESCAC) are winners of three straight while the Panthers (5-5, 3-4 NESCAC) are now 1-4 when playing away from home this season.
Softball Splits with Amherst in Saturday Doubleheader
The Wesleyan softball team went back out on the road for a Saturday doubleheader at Amherst and the two sides split the twinbill with the Mammoths winning game one 3-0 before the Cardinals answered back with a 6-5 win in game two. Wesleyan improves to 12-9 (4-4 NESCAC) on the season while the Mammoths are 7-9 (3-3 NESCAC).
Women’s Golf Opens Spring Season with Third Place Finish in the Hartford Blackledge Invitational
The Wesleyan women's golf team opened the spring season with a solid showing in the Hartford Blackledge Invitational on Saturday from the Blackledge Country Club. Wesleyan carded a +23 to finish in third place out of six teams in the field. The Cardinals finished ahead of No. 22 Babson (+29) while Wesleyan was just two strokes behind No. 13 Middlebury for second place. No. 15 Wellesley won the 18-hole event with a +16.
No. 2 Men’s Crew Sweeps All Four Races to Open the Spring Season at WPI’s Class of 2003 Cup
The No. 2 Wesleyan men's crew team opened the spring season with a dominant showing on Saturday morning, sweeping all four races at Lake Quinsigamond in WPI's Class of 2003 Cup. This marks the fourth straight season and fifth time in the last six years that the Cardinals have won the Class of 2003 Cup title.
No. 6 Women’s Crew Wins Two of Three Races to Begin the Spring Season
The No. 6 Wesleyan women's crew team opened the 2026 spring season with a pair of wins from the 2nd varsity 8 and 3rd varsity 8 boats on Saturday morning at the Jennifer McLaughlin Cup hosted by WPI on Lake Quinsigamond. The Cardinals competed against No. 4 Smith, No. 12 Colby, and WPI on the day.

No. 10 Men’s Lacrosse Dominates No. 16 Amherst for a Record-Breaking 16-4 Win
The No. 10 Wesleyan men's lacrosse team pitched a second half shutout, outscoring No. 16 Amherst 9-0 after halftime to roll past the Mammoths for a 16-4 win from Citrin Field on Wednesday night. The 12-goal win makes history as the largest Wesleyan win over Amherst in 69 all-time meetings in the series history. The Cardinals (7-2, 3-2 NESCAC) pick up their first league home win of the season while the Mammoths (3-5, 2-3 NESCAC) lose a third straight game.
Athletics Ties Department Record with 14 Cardinal Student-Athlete Inductees into Phi Beta Kappa
Fourteen senior student-athlete have been elected to Wesleyan University's Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa for Spring 2026 – the most prestigious academic honor society in the country. The 14 total inductees ties a department record first set back in the Spring of 2019. They will be honored at an induction ceremony on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 4 PM in the Memorial Chapel.
