The #5 / #4 Navy women's lacrosse team (20-1) trailed #9 / #7 Syracuse, 9-3, at halftime before posting a second-half comeback to force overtime. In the extra period, sophomore attacker Alyssa Chung fired a goal past the goalkeeper to lift the Mids to an 11-10 victory over the Orange (14-6) on Sunday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Chung Named NAAA Athlete of the Week
Women's lacrosse sophomore attacker Alyssa Chung was named the Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA) Athlete of the Week. Chung helped Navy win the 2026 Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Championship, leading the team to wins against Bucknell (W, 18-8) and #13 Army (W, 17-11).
College Squash Association Recognizes Navy’s Orr and Kang with Scholar-Athlete Award
Navy's Alexander Orr (Sr / Haverford, Pa.) and Matthew Kang (Jr / Malvern, Pa.) are recipients of the 2025-26 College Squash Association Scholar-Athlete Award it was recently announced by the CSA. The award recognizes a distinguished group of juniors and seniors who have demonstrated excellence both on and off the court.
Tarzy Garners Men’s Golf Academic All-Patriot League Honors
BETHLEHEM, PA. // Team captain Jack Tarzy (Sr / Medford, N.J.) was one of six student-athletes named to the 2026 Academic All-Patriot League Men's Golf Team it was announced by the league office. Tarzy is the seventh different Navy golfer (Peter Reilly 2011, '12 / Chris House 2013, '14 / Connor Tallman 2016, '17 / Nicholas Klock 2021 / Keegan Shreves 2022, '23 / Benjamin Valdez 2024, '25) to earn the citation and the fifth to earn the award multiple times. A Navy golfer has been honored 12 times since the award was established in 2011.

Baseball Posts Sunday Split with Army to Close Regular Season
With both teams vying for home-field advantage in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament entering the nightcap, the Navy baseball team could not pull off the doubleheader sweep against rival Army on Sunday afternoon at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium, splitting the twin-bill with a 7-4 opening win and a 16-4 run-rule loss in the nightcap to close the regular season.
Sixth-Seeded Navy to Host NCAA Opening Rounds This Weekend
For the first time since 2013, the Navy women's lacrosse team is set to host NCAA Tournament first and second round games at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The Midshipmen earned the No. 6 seed for the NCAA Tournament, marking the highest seed in program history. Navy (18-1) will host UMass (16-2), the MAC champion, on Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the NCAA First Round. Syracuse (13-5) will face Loyola (12-7) Friday at 7:00 p.m. Syracuse and Loyola received at-large berths. The winners from Friday's games will meet on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the NCAA Second Round.
