Men's Crew Opens Season Against Michigan, Rutgers, Notre Dame, Virginia

The Bison took to home water this weekend in their first official competition of the year. With five of the top eight teams from last year's American Collegiate Rowing Association National Championship set to compete, the team knew it was going to be great racing. The morning matchups consisted of Michigan vs. Bucknell and Rutgers vs. Virginia vs. Notre Dame, while the afternoon matchups were Michigan vs. Virginia and Bucknell vs. Rutgers vs. Notre Dame. Races started upstream from the dock where hundreds of spectators and athletes gathered and cheered. Results for the day can be found here. Notable results from the day include a sweep for the varsity 8, wins for the freshman 8 over Michigan and Rutgers, as well as back to back close wins in the 4th varsity 8 over Michigan.
